Denise Marcotte studied at The New England School of Photography
in Boston, Massachusetts and received her BFA from
Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
She was an MFA candidate at Yale University and at the
Royal College of Art in London, England where
she chose to study. She began her career in London
where she worked as a Photo Editor. She has worked
as a freelance photographer in travel, public relations,
stock and corporate photography.
She has traveled to over twenty countries where she has
photographed on the streets of some of the poorest places
in the world to photographing royalty. Her work has taken her
from the Costa del Sol in Spain to photographing the sitting
President Clinton. Denise was a Nominee Member of the
prestigious photojournalist agency, Magnum.
She was one of twenty photographers worldwide considered
for the exclusive membership. Denise exhibits and publishes
her work internationally. She has shown her work alongside
Andy Warhol, John Singer Sargent,
Annie Liebovitz, and Herb Ritts among others.
She has been published in such periodicals as
The New York Times, Buzzfeed, Harpers, and
the International Herald Tribune.
Denise resides in Weymouth, Massachusetts.
